Funding position
Honest Politics is currently funded by Max Brocklesby and does not accept donations or loans through this website. No donor has purchased policy, candidacy, appointment or private political influence.
Present responsibility
Max started Honest Politics and currently takes responsibility for its direction and public positions. This creates a clear line of accountability while the movement is small. It is not a permanent personal entitlement to lead a future party or become Prime Minister.
Before party registration, a constitution should establish leadership, election, succession, removal, appeals and wider governing authority. If a more capable leader emerges, the structure should allow that person to lead.
Relevant interests
Max owns and operates commercial businesses. Any policy, supplier, appointment or financial decision that could reasonably be affected by a personal interest should be declared and managed before a formal decision is taken.
Before fundraising
A separate gate requires an appropriate receiving entity, finance ownership, bank and payment controls, donor verification, permissibility checks, aggregation, reporting, privacy, accounting and public disclosure.
